Field Notes
Description:
Like the name, the flower stem curves downward near the top like a fiddles neck. The flowers are only on the topside of the stem. The stem and flower buds have fine hairs on them. These grew about 4 ft. the flowers are yellow-orange and sometimes yellow with orange inside.
Habitat:
Spotted in a meadow on the top of a hill in a regional park.
