Description:

Polyphemus moth hatched out of cocoon that was left on a covered deck through the winter.

Habitat:

Forest

Notes:

Raised from injured mother found by children in the forest. She laid her eggs last summer and they are now starting to hatch from their cocoons. http://natureintoaction.com/2012/11/15/raising-polyphemus-moths/
