Field Notes

Description:

Large arboreal squirrel with brownish gray fur, and long, bushy, hoary-colored tail.

Habitat:

Humid submontane/foothill forest, broadleaf with a few scattered pines, some pine forests in lowlands nearby.

Notes:

This is the common squirrel in most of Honduras (Esta es la ardilla común en la mayor parte de Honduras).
