Field Notes

Description:

Green and black Stink Bug with enormous thoracic protrusions. The tips were square so it wasn't painful to handle (although it does have 2 big spines on the end of the abdomen!). About 2 cm long. They make a lot of noise when they fly. Family Pentatomidae.

Habitat:

Lacandon Jungle, Las Guacamayas Eco-Lodge, Lacantun River, Chiapas.
