Field Notes

Description:

This little weevil was 2 cm / approx. 0.8 inches long (including snout) and was rescued from the kitchen sink on a wash cloth.

Are those little red/orange things underneath and on one leg aphids?

Habitat:

(House in) Hills overlooking Manila.

Notes:

2nd photo: It seemed to be drinking from the damp wash cloth.

3rd photo: It was extending (/drying out?) little bits of wing.
