Field Notes

Description:

Saw lots of this Spiny Stick Insect including during day time.
The pictures shows a Female seen during the day time.
This genus, Tisamenus has a distinct feature, with '2 false eyes' on their back which make them looks like they have a 'face' on their body. This feature is more pronounced in the Females than the Males.

Habitat:

Tropical forest with high humidity, they tend to like the areas nearer the river

Notes:

Small size Phasmid, just around 5cm in size.
