Field Notes

Description:

Unknown skull very thin and fragile

Habitat:

Suburban fringe area, skull likely washed in from nearby creek which floods after heavy rain

Notes:

I found this buried in some mud on the side of a walking track whilst I was walking my dogs. I have no idea what it is, I've Google searched the skulls of just about every animal common to the area but still don't know. Anyone know what is?

Excuse the gloves, mud and the water, the skull was caked in mud I had to clean it off to see it properly.

Way cool! I'm going to have to look this one up! Looks fish or amphibian like to me!
