Boy are they potent smelling! If you like citrus rub a few drops of liquid from them, you'll smell for a week!
Stumbled across dozens of these luminous orbs in the dark on my friend's farm. She told me they were Osage oranges and thought they had been imported as natural hedges. I found out yesterday from an Osage and a Kiowa friend that the wood of the tree from which this fruit fell is prized for bow making!
