Description:

Totally white except the dark red (purple) eyes. Size about 2-3 mm.

Habitat:

Backyard, on a tree!

Well I hope there are not too many of them. They are a hard pest to control. There are about 1,200 species of whitefly worldwide :)

You might want to investigate Family Aleyrodidae - Whiteflies species in your area. The adults are this small size and winged. They are in Hemiptera not Lepidoptera, like moths. They hide on the underside of leaves and fly when disturbed.
