Field Notes

Description:

Robin sized bird that is always found near water. Is always seen bouncing on top of rocks, limbs, and the bank. Has the ability to swim and find small water invertebrates or small fish.

Habitat:

Fresh water rivers and streams.

Notes:

This one was seen several years ago. Just had the opportunity to post it. I have seen many of these on the Logan River in Utah, on rivers and streams in Wyoming and other places as well.
