Thanks for confirming I was remembering the Bronx Zoo. It has been a few years since I was up that way and was busy with children and teenagers. Interesting bird even if it is a captive. Hope it has friends :)
Well it is a captive animal being held at the Bronx Zoo
My curiosity was due to the fact that it was obviously not a N American native. My coast is getting a lot of strays, both in winter from the arctic and spring/summer/fall from the tropics - I was wondering if this was a stray or captive animal
Karen - not sure if the location is the bronx Zoo, but it has a World of Birds exhibit, if that helps :)
