An autumnal bloomig perennial herb. It has a huge underground tuber. Blooming takes place in a dry season before leaves emerge. stem reddish, waxy, hairless. Flowers many yellow. Fruits flattened brown. Leaves eremrge after winter rain, they are much dissected. This year we found many plants that started blooming already in July, this is perhaps because of rare rains last April-May.
