Field Notes

Description:

About an inch to inch and a half in length, about an the same across. Darker brown moth with red and white markings.

Habitat:

Grassy area near the city. Found him on the soffit of my place.

Notes:

Very docile moth. I poked him then he flew away. I've never seen a moth like that.

I thought they must be uncommon. I don't recall ever seeing it ever.
I am envious...I have wanted to see this moth since I started photographing them in 2008
