Field Notes

Description:

Light color morph of this species has a light tan breast and under parts with some rust colored banding. The upper body is somewhat darker. The most definitive field mark is the rust colored tail that has darker brown tips on the rear edge of the tail feathers. Body is somewhat chunky and broad.

Habitat:

Perches high in trees and watches nearby open areas for prey.
