Description:

Large shed skin of a snake.

Habitat:

Empty house being cleaned by a neighbour...they swept up the leaves and other rubbish, found this and added it to the pile of rubbish.

Notes:

I think this belongs to a Ptyas mucosa, commonly known as the oriental ratsnake, Indian rat snake, 'darash' or dhaman. I regularly see the Checkered keelback or Asiatic water snake (Xenochrophis piscator) too...maybe it is that?
