Field Notes

Description:

Small ants with abdomens that reflect a satin gold colour. About 10mm long overall. Moving in lines and seemed to be coming out of the base of a burnt eucalyptus.

Habitat:

In a recently burnt part of a local nature reserve.

Notes:

I presume they are Aussie ants so they deserve it... until I have a real ID :-)
