Hi Leon I came across an image on the I-SPOT site a couple of days ago .This moth is very similar to yours and from the region ---Hypena jussalis .Some examples on google look close .
Hi Paul I could not find any reference to one in SA any other ideas?
This moth looks very much like The Bloxworth Snout (Hypena obsitalis),which is found in North Africa .I don't know if is found so far south though,it could be a close relative.
