Species ID Suggestions

Comments (8)

Oh yes nice detective work. I haven't looked at that group yet although they tell me we have 600 species in Aust. Well done.
I believe I have narrowed the ID down to caddisfly. See http://bugguide.net/node/view/424502/bgpage
It must be a undiscovered species Mark. haha... Attention all moth experts - help with this species. =O
Yeah close but no cigar. (why do winners wants cigars anyway :) It hasn't got the 'neck' of the Hemerobiidae unfortunately. Good luck with it - some expert will see it soon I'm sure.
That's pretty close Mark! Thanks for a lead on the id... Will have to do some research on this one.
Well here's my best guess... Micromus subanticus (Hemerobiidae)
Yeah Mark, definitely a strange one. The eyes are unusual too.
What a strange critter. Like a tree hopper trying to be a moth (or the other way around.:)
