Field Notes

Description:

A long brown Tiger Moth, 2.5 cm, with semi-transluccent wings with a brown pattern. The abdomen is furry and a bright coral color. The thorax is also furry with a yellow and blue-black stripe on each side. The sides and underside of the abdomen have white and yellow. Family Arctiidae.

Habitat:

Came to an ultraviolet light in the garden, San Cristobal de Las Casas, 2,200 meters.
