Field Notes

Description:

Large and gray with a few propeller scars.

Habitat:

Canals and grassy aquatic areas in the Keys.

Notes:

We saw five manatees while kayaking in Key Largo. This one looked the youngest and was very friendly. He (?) came right up to us for attention. Luckily he only had a few propeller scars.
