Description:

The most common hairstreak in our area, adults fly all year. Larvae feed on large variety of plants. The hindwing eyes spots and tails look like real eyes and antennae, and the hindwings are rubbed together when perched to attract a predator's attack to the non-lethal end of the butterfly.----------------------------------Es una especie muy común, los adultos vuelas todo el año. Las larvas se alimentan de gran variedad de plantas. Las manchas de ojos de reverso y colas parecen antenas y ojos reales, y las alas posteriores se frotan juntos cuando encaramado para atraer el ataque de un depredador hasta el final no letal de la mariposa.
