Tiny flowers that look like "forget-me-nots" growing on the floor of the woods, next to Little Etobicoke Creek.

You're welcome! I tried for years to get M sylvatica growing in my garden beds. Imagine my surprise when I found a large bed of them in the woods(I'd had one plant grow and die n the garden) on my property!
Beautiful macro. Forget me nots have pretty much been established across the western hemisphere! I suspect the species you have depends on your elevation and climate. Check the wiki article
