Hello. These are "galls". "Plant galls are abnormal outgrowths of plant tissues and can be caused by various parasites, from fungi and bacteria, to insects and mites." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gall I have removed your spotting from the Parental care mission since this is not being demonstrated. Since these structures are a reaction to parasites, the spotting should probably be removed from the Animal architecture mission as well. Cheers
