Field Notes
Description:
This delicate attractive moth had a wing apn of about 50 mm. It was resting with its pale brown wings held out. The costa showed at least three black spots and dark base. the under side of the wings were a similar colour. the hind wings showed a small white zig-zig along the inner margin. Thorax and abdomen were a golden brown. Legs had a pink tinge.
Antennae were dark and feathery (Pic 4)

Habitat:
Spotted at a nature reserve with native trees - eucalypts ( Messmate Stringybark) mostly.

Notes:
I have been waiting to see this moth for so long and today was the day ! A very exciting find. <br>
The larvae are said to feed on gum leaves. <br>
