Field Notes

Description:

Immature bird. Small with white outline around an orange bill. And just a little black on the belly. Legs are orange.

Habitat:

Spotted this at a local lake on the lawn feeding with Canada Geese

Notes:

Though this is not a rare bird for the area, it is rare for this time of year. Judging by the size it would have to be a young one.

This has been reported as being with a group of misfits. The two hybrid Canada Geese, one lone small Canada and this bird.
