Libellulidae; Agrionoptera; Agrionoptera insignis insignis. "The male of this species is generally 37 to 41 millimeters long, the hindwing about 28 to 30 millimeters long. The thorax is metallic green with yellow mottling. The eyes are brown and yellow. The abdomen is mostly red with a black tip. The abdomen of the female is duller in color." Wikipedia's description of A. insignis. In the subspecies list, A. i. insignis is confirmed for Southeast Asia.

Habitat:

This Grenadier was spotted in our back yard during the laying out of a new vegetable plot. The dragonfly perched on a marker stick.

Notes:

This is the same Subspecies - Agrionoptera insignis. insignis as my Spotting No: 1126139214 more than 2 years earlier. So it can be seen that this dragonfly is still present in my immediate area.
