The carapace is olive to brown with yellow oval markings and dark areas. The posterior end is serrated and a distinct keel extends down the midline of the carapace. A yellow oval or L-shaped blotch is found behind each eye and one or more yellow lines from the neck reach the eye. In addition, each side of the face usually has 2 more yellow blotches. One sits under the eye and the other sits on the lower jaw. The plastron is pale and lacks markings in adults. The plastron is not hinged. Adult females are much larger than males. Another nice one Aaron! Map turtles are great, especially as hatchlings like this one.
