Field Notes

Description:

I'm assuming some kind of wort flower. Tall stalk, about 1/2-1ft later bloomer (stalk appeared small in april). Purple flowers facing out in a ring with speckled purple over white interior. More buds above. Long flat matte green leaves, slightly fuzzyy stalk.

Habitat:

west central georgia.

Notes:

If you look closely there are some kind of mite or insects on the stalk behind the flowers and perhaps a magnolia spider in one of the frames.
