Field Notes

Description:

A small red ladybug or lady beetle taking cover in a blade of grass. This Coccinella transversalis beetle shows pattern variation compared to the commonly seen ones in other country. About 6mm in length.

Habitat:

On grass bushes in this open muddy land with few short plants and bushes in Taman Semarak, Tawau, Sabah. This land contains poor quality of earth, hence making the plant diversity low.

Notes:

>>>Map accuracy : 250m diameter. Sorry friends, while I am currently uploading spottings from my Madai trip, I uploaded this ladybug spotting which is not spotted during my Madai Trip. After this spotting, I will continue uploading my Madai trip spottings.
