Field Notes

Description:

The Golden Tanager is a species of bird in the Thraupidae family. It is widespread and often common in highland forests of the Andes and Venezuelan Coastal Range in north-western South America.

Notes:

Easily the most common bird that came to the perch set up by my local guide. We would have anywhere from 6-10 of these on the perch at any given moment.

Thanks guys, I have a lot more shots of these Golden Tanagers to add when I get some time! They were quite common and cooperative :-)
