Thanks Mona, this is a rare capture for me and a lifer. this skulker is easily been heard than seen. yes, female with similar plumage as with the Asian Koel you have their in your place. ;)
It was an unexpected catch Leana, at first i thought it was an Asian Koel before it was confirmed by an ornithologist that it was indeed an endemic Philippine Koel
affirmative Jemma, ♂ is pure black while ♀ has this buff streaked, spotted and barred plumage.
