Description:

The Speckled Hummingbird shows a light rufous color as a female, however, the male counterpart consists of various green speckles. it measured around 5cm, which is pretty small for a bird, awesome! When I spotted it in the garden it caught my attention inmediatly, I have never seen a hummingbird that small, it has been sightened several times and people in Colombia refer it as the ¨Mosquito Hummingbird¨

Habitat:

Gardens

Notes:

Seriously, it was really small! I thought it was a bumblebee at first sight.
