Field Notes

Description:

A beautiful little green Tree Frog with Gold Eyes that was living inside the dark tunnels of the Bat Temple in the Mayan Ruins of Yaxchilan. They were many of these frogs scattered about on the lower ledges of the walls, sitting in complete darkness.

Habitat:

Lacandon Jungle, Yaxchilan Mayan Ruins, Usumacinta River, Chiapas.

Thank you Ashley, Hope you can find it. I looked through the pictures of Hypsiboas - they are all beautiful! It doesn't seem normal that these frogs would be living inside the rocky recesses of the Temple.
I want to say Genus Hypsiboas but will try to look further into it soon!
