Description:

This blue jay is showing off his stunning tail coloration. The Blue Jay is a passerine bird in the family Corvidae, native to North America. It is resident through most of eastern and central United States and southern Canada,

Habitat:

In the trees and shrubs along an inland fresh water canal in western Boca Raton, FL

Notes:

This blue jay would not linger in one place very long, stopping just long enough for a seed or two and then he retreated to a tree limb to enjoy his food.
