Description:

It is a beetle that belongs to the longhorn beetles (Cerambycidae; also known as long-horned beetles or longicorns). Its body length it is between 11 and 15 mm. Life cycle is completed in 2 years. Adults can be seen from May - July. Similarly to most (if not all) of other Lamiinae, Oberea linearis feeds to sexually maturate. Adults of this species feed on lateral veins of young hazel leaves, creating a typical pattern.

Habitat:

Host plants: Corylus, Juglans, Ulmus. Distribution: Europe, Russia, Caucasus, Turkey.
