Field Notes

Description:

This is a small, rather short-legged and long-tailed, brown above and white underneath, wader. It is about 20 cm in length, and shows a semi-crouched carriage with exaggerated tail bobbing.

Habitat:

This is a common Old World shorebird, observed foraging at the beach near Cox's Bazar. The beach in question is at the bottom of hills of Himchari NP.
