Description:

This is presumably a female grackle with a mouthful of twigs. She's preparing to build a nest.

Habitat:

Common grackles are nearctic natives (occuring in Greenland, Canadian Arctic and all of N. America). They thrive where people are present.

Notes:

Second photo shows a different individual, but the head's iridescent blue color is more pronounced.
