Field Notes

Description:

Medium sized, slate gray bird with a black cap and small rusty patch on the underside of the base of the tail. Dark bill, eyes and legs.

Habitat:

Cedar Creek County Park, New York. In and out of the trees and shrubs near an archery field.

Notes:

Very vocal bird species, mimics calls of other birds as well as having their own calls.
