Field Notes

Description:

A pair of geese standing complacently in the middle of a pond surrounded by snow on a high-altitude grassland! This was a pond quite close to the shoddy road. I did not hear them make any sounds. I was able to stop for only a few seconds to snap their pictures before we continued driving along the road.

Habitat:

I wonder if they're just back from a winter somewhere in South Asia! I feel privileged to have seen the famous geese that pass over the Himalayas firsthand!

Notes:

2:06pm CST. Location is only approximate. The adjacent road is correct, but I'm not sure which stretch of it I was on.
