Field Notes

Description:

A long thin dove, sandy-blond colored with a black nape stripe. The tail is white and fanned when flying, with a black base visible when flying. The call is a coo repeated three times like a high pitched owl.

Habitat:

Oak stands. It spent much of it's time in trees.
