Field Notes

Description:

The most common antelope in Africa.
Although it does not feel unique to see an Impala, their grace and their beauty is always an extraordinary sight. In the pictures you can see female Impalas. Only the male impala has horns.

Habitat:

These were spotted in the mixed woodland, but you can spot them in any of the biomes in the park.

Notes:

April and May is the mating season and the male Impalas are a bit stressed, tensed and actually a little bit quirky in their behavoiur. But as a result of this, in October - November the offsprings are born and the place becomes an Impala kindergarden!
