Description:
This large tern is mostly white with some darker areas in the wingtip. The bill is orange/red with some variation in shades. The tail is short and forked. Breeding adults have a narrow black crest that is shaggy in the back. In non-breeding season the forehead is white.
Habitat:
Sea shores.
