Field Notes

Description:

One of the few species of wild parrots of San Francisco. Not native but are escapees that are a feral breeding population. Mostly green being darker on back and lighter in front. Large bill and medium to long tail. Face and shoulder are red and a white mask around the eye.

Habitat:

These have been spotted in the north eastern part of San Francisco. These have been spotted in Cypress, Palm and Eucalyptus trees.
