Field Notes
Description:
I am sure this is a species of milkvetch (Astragalus) but I am unsure which one it actually is. It belongs in the pea family (Fabaceae).
Habitat:
I found this milkvetch growing on a rocky south facing slope just south of Pike Mountain. It was found growing near other species of milkvetch, arrowleaf balsamroot, wild onion, yarrow and lupine.
