Field Notes

Description:

Small heron-like bird, pure white. Legs black with bright yellow feet.

Habitat:

Large, artificial reservoir in an urban park near downtown Colorado Springs. Surrounding "habitat" is best described as urban residential. Lawns, with planted elm, cottonwood, and conifers constitute dominant vegetation.

Notes:

Three birds were seen.
