Field Notes

Description:

Low creeping groundcover, around 6" tall. Purple throated flowers around 1-2cm diameter. Roots easily, intertwines with other plants. Seems to spread rapidly.

Habitat:

Front lawn, soil predominantly dry and clay-like, east and southern exposure without shade until late afternoon.

Notes:

Possibly autumn or very early spring germination and sprouting - had seeded white clover which was doing well before snow cover.
