I saw this flower growing along a wooded path next to a stream at Bent of the River Audubon in Southbury, CT.

Hard to say until it blooms, but, the thin width of the leaves and the tall flower spike makes me think it might be Siberian Iris, Iris sibirica; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iris_sibirica
