Field Notes

Description:

A large Noctuid Moth about 3 cm long with a faintly blue iridescence to the wings. This moth was on the wall inside one of the dark tunnels of the Bat Temple. I think it must have been terrified to be in there with an army of Bats, Tailless Whip Scorpions and frogs all around it.

Habitat:

Inside the Bat Temple, Mayan Ruins of Yaxchilan, Usumacinta River, Chiapas.
