Field Notes
Description:
Larger than most Australian frogs reaching 10cm in length. A beautiful vivid green. It screams when in danger to scare off its foe and squeaks when touched. The skin secretions of this frog have antibacterial and antiviral properties which may prove useful to pharmaceutical preparations.
Habitat:
Spotted in the ablutions block at Karumba caravan park. Often found on windows and in houses eating insects attracted by light.
