Description:

The Booted Racket-tail is a species of hummingbird. It is found in the Andean cordillera of Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Venezuela; Venezuela also has a population on the northern coast.

Notes:

Western Race found on the Western Slopes of the Andes mountain range.

This photo was done during the day using a high speed strobe set up with 4 total flashes (wanted to do a black background instead of lighting it up green). The effective shutter speed on this shot was 1/20,000 of a second!
